Seyðisfjörður has been called “a pearl in a closed shell” and is a quaint village in the east of Iceland, and some of its surrounding mountains are over 1,000 meters high. The camping site in Seyðisfjörður is located in the center of the village and the site is surrounded by trees, providing shelter from the wind. Seyðisfjörður offers various services for tourists, ranging from kayak rental to fine dining. The village is also famous for its vibrant cultural life including galleries, museums and quirky souvenir shops. At the campsite you will find everything you need, including showers, toilets, a laundry room, a kitchen and more. There are a number of marked hiking paths that will lead you through the wonders of the fjord.
