Tjaldsvæði að Hlöðum

The Hlöður campsite is located in the northern part of Hvalfjörður with a view of the fjord. New operators took over the campsite in May 2026. The area itself is divided into two parts. On the one hand, there is a campsite below the community center and on the other hand, west of the parking lot, which is lush and somewhat sheltered.

Dishwashing, toilet and shower facilities are behind the community center. Electricity is available on the area below the community center for a fee. At the campsite there is a wonderful warm swimming pool with two hot tubs, a cold tub and a sauna cabin. Various events and happenings are held at the pool during the summer.
