SIGLUFJÖRDUR – SIGLUFJÖRDUR CAMPING AREA

Welcome to Siglufjörður Camping Area.

Siglufjörður Camping Area consists of three areas: Central Area, Bola and Rammalóðinn.
All areas have toilets and electricity. The areas are located in different places in and around the town and offer a stay in beautiful surroundings at the foot of Tröllaskagi.

🌄 ABOUT SIGLUFJÖRÐUR

Siglufjörður, part of the united municipality of Fjallabyggð, is ​​a charming town on the Tröllaskagi peninsula with a rich herring history, surrounded by mountains and shores. It has a population of around 1,300 and an atmosphere characterised by tranquility, culture and diverse entertainment.

The town has a swimming pool with hot tubs and sauna, numerous museums and restaurants, as well as unique hiking trails through the mountains and valleys. The Héðinsfjörður tunnel ensures easy access to the town all year round and during the summer there are numerous festivals and cultural events, including 17. júní hátíðarhöld, Síldarævintýrið, Þjóðlagahátíðin, Trilludagar og Frjó listahátíð.

🏕️ CENTRAL AREA

The central area is located in the heart of Siglufjörður, by the harbor, within walking distance of the town center and services.
The area has access to shower and laundry facilities, which guests at all Siglufjörður campsites can use.

🏕️ BOLI

The Bola area is located south of the town, close to nature and hiking trails.

🏕️ RAMMALÓÐIN

The site opens when conditions permit as the summer progresses

Rammalóðin is a quiet campsite, located opposite the police station and a short walk from the town center

The Camping Card is valid at all campsites in Siglufjörður.

• You can book a campsite with the Camping Card in advance through Parki; a camp guard will scan the Camping Card upon arrival
• You can also come directly to the area and get a campsite in consultation with a camp guard, if space is available. NOTE: Do not camp in a marked campsite without consulting a camp guard if you are not going through Parki.

⚠️ The Camping Card is not valid over the Trade Workers’ Weekend, July 30 – August 3 (from Thursday to Monday). The Camping Card can be used on Monday.
